Jamaic is one of the many facets of Miguel Ángel Estrada, young multi-instrumentalist from Mérida, Yucatán, who's previously released music as Rubber and also plays in the neo-rockabilly outfit Rubber Quacks (check 'em out!). In this LP, however, he explores the mellowest side of house music achieving a very cool lounge sound, reminiscent to that of the early chill-out house music from when the 21st century was born, resulting in a sound that Jamaic himself describes as 'Dream House'. The concept behind this particular piece of work is to explore and reuse elements of the ASMR (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response) wave, which as you may already know is a relaxing, chill-provoking phenomenon caused by visual or, as in this case, acoustic stimulation of the senses, coming mostly from whispers that complement perfectly this calming, uplifting collection of music.
