Lux Refraktio is the solo effort of Jonathan Layseca, young producer based in Mexico City with a very rich musical background: he is classicaly trained but has also been part of numerous projects in experimental music and more conventional styles, aswell as the occasional DJ set. Impromptu is his first ever material, a collection of beautiful textures driven by a strong percussive background, but with a sense of melody and a musicality that feels as natural as very few, it just flows.

Most of the melodic motifs and tonal structures were recorded in the box, integrating memories through field, piano and instruments recordings to programmed –often syncopated– rhythms.
